How to Make a Lychee, Pineapple, and Papaya Mixed Juice Drink

Fresh LycheeSome people mix juices to neutralize any unappetizing taste of a specific fruit or vegetable ingredient. Some just prefer to mix juices to yield a more nutricious and delicious natural juice drink. This recipe is a combination of Lychee, Pineapple, and Papaya juices you will surely love.

But first, let’s take a look at the nutrients each fruits provides.


Being the only member of the genus Litchi of the soapberry family, Lychee is a tropical fruit originally from China, specifically the provinces of Guangdong and Fujian, but is now grown in many countries. It has a delicate whitish pulp with a floral smell and sweet flavor. For every 100 grams of lychee, 72 mg of Vitamin C can be obtained. Eating 9 peeled fruits is enough to meet the Vitamin C daily requirement of an adult. Lychee is also rich in phytochemicals called polyphenols which help keep the body from certain diseases.


Considered to be the most economical among the plants belonging to the Bromeliaceae family, the pineapple is consumed in many ways and is one of the most used ingredients in many cuisines. This tropical plant has edible multiple fruit of coalesced berries and may be grown by planting a cut crown. Raw or unprocessed pineapple is a good source of vitamin C and manganese. It also has bromelain, a proteolytic enzyme that help s break down protein. Pineapple leaves are also used to produce a textile fiber, which are the material commonly used in making traditional clothing in the Philippines.


The papaya is a big, tree-like plant with one step that grows up to 10 meters tall. The papayas have many uses such as food, medicine, and cooking ingredient. The green papaya fruit is rich in papain, an enzyme used for tenderizing meat and other proteins. The fruit is also rich in vitamin C , dietary fiber, folate, and provitamin A carotenoids. The skin, seeds, and pulp are also rich in phytochemicals.



  • 1 kg lychee (canned or fresh; if canned, do not drain)
  • 500 g pineapple
  • 1 kg papaya

How to prepare:

  1. Make sure all the fruits are washed thoroughly.
  2. Peel the lychees and deseed. (If canned, just open the can and set aside)
  3. Slice the pineapple and remove the cores and peel. Chop it into large cubes and set aside.
  4. Peel the papaya using a peeler. Cut in half and deseed. Chop in cubes and set aside.
  5. Alternately place enough amount of each ingredient in the juicer then transfer contents into a glass pitcher.
  6. If you are using canned lychee, add the syrup to the juice mix.
  7. Once done, refrigerate juice mix and serve chilled.
